The Ferrari 360 Modena vaulted sports car performance into a new realm when it arrived just over 10 years ago. Now, Ferrari is helping to reduce the cost of owning this landmark model by reducing the price of over 1,000 parts by 20-36 percent.
As part of the parts cost reduction program, Ferrari is also offering its dealers various Service Kits that make it easier to order and stock parts for the 360. The reduced parts prices and Service Kit concept was first introduced for the 360's predecessor, the F355, and those kits are still available.
"The new parts prices and Service Kits will make it easier for the owner to keep a 360 properly maintained by factory-trained dealer technicians, while reducing the cost," said John Maggio, Director of Parts and Accessories Operations for Ferrari North America. "For the client, of course, there is a substantial discount on the parts prices."
The 360 Service Kits range from a minor service to a major service, and also are available for specific component and system jobs. For example, the Timing Belt Service Kit contains all engine belts and the pulley at a 20-percent discount from the previous price. The kit for the lower control arms packages the necessary parts for that job at a 36-percent discount. The Brake Service Kit delivers a 22-percent parts price reduction. (Service Kit prices do not include the Ferrari dealer's charge for labor.) To achieve the reduced prices, Ferrari worked closely with suppliers for this now discontinued model.
Just as important, Maggio pointed out, is that all the parts individually and contained in the Service Kits are Ferrari Genuine. Every part comes with a 12-month, unlimited mileage warranty. (The Service Kits are not available outside Ferrari dealerships.)
A well driven 360 can hit 60 mph from rest in just over four seconds — still eye-opening performance. It's worth checking inventory in the Ferrari Approved certified pre-owned program, as later-model 360's are often available and of course covered by a 12-month unlimited mileage warranty.
